What are your office hours? Office hours for CCRI are Monday–Friday 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.
How do I know if my application was received? You will receive an email from CCRI indicating we received it. Please ensure the correctness of your email address to recieve an email confirmation.
Do I need to submit a résumé with my application? Our direct support professional position does not require candidates to submit a résumé with the application. Some positions may require a résumé and that would be explained in the position opening. If you just submit a résumé with no application or an incomplete application, it will be rejected.
Do I have to have a criminal background check conducted and pass? Yes, All employees are required to have conducted and pass a Minnesota State criminal background check. According to Minnesota statues MSP Section 299c.62 (Criminal Background Checks for Children’s Service Providers) and MSA Chapter 245c (Criminal Background Checks for Personal Care Providers) all CCRI employees are required to pass a Minnesota State Background check.
What is the process after I apply? At CCRI, our most important assets are the people, this is why we take great care in how and who we hire. Clients, families, and guardians trust us with their loved ones. CCRI conducts a thorough and detailed review of all applications received, which includes: pre-screening of the applicant's interests, hours, commitment, work history—including employment verifications, criminal background, and motor vehicle checks.
Interview selections: Applicants selected for an interview generally are contacted within 10 business days; however, if you have not been contacted, please be patient, we are still conducting our pre-screening process. If you are contacted for an interview, make sure you come early and are prepared for an extensive full-hour interview. If you are not selected for an interview or the job, you will be notified by email or mail.
Do you offer flexible schedules? Yes, we offer a variety of shifts and hours to fit your lifestyle, or changing school schedule.
What are the ideal qualities you look for in a Direct Support Professional candidate?

What type of training do you provide? CCRI provides extensive training. Our goal is for our team members to be successful and our training is designed to give team members the tools to succeed. We understand that when team members are trained well they are confident and happy performing their jobs—and that provides a positive impact on our client services.
Are there advancement opportunities at CCRI? Yes. CCRI encourages team members to learn and grow in our organization and encouragse them to pursue positions they may be interested in.
What types of positions do you employ? Our Direct Support Professional is the most common position we hire. Additionally, we employ Residential Coordinators (QDDP), Mental Health Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Office managers, business office staff, and other administrative related positions.
Do you have to have a driver's license or vehicle to work at CCRI? Yes, you must have a driver's license and vehicle to work with individuals we serve.
What qualifies as a good driving record to be employed by CCRI? CCRI checks motor vehicle records for the past three years. Any "Type A" violations (DUI, excessive speed, driving without a license, running from law enforcement, etc.) would be immediate disqualifiers. Other types of violations would depend on the number and circumstances. We would recommend that you review your driving record prior to applying if there is a concern.
